Your downtown ice cream shop since 1992, the Urban family and it's staff have been serving their signature scoops & creations in our old fashioned ice cream shop.  Why ice cream?
.... Why not???
The start of this 40+ flavor ice cream shop actually started with blueberries & raspberries and ice cream as an after thought. The "Berry Delicious Cone" was the result of a new marketing angle for the Urban family's berry farms in South Haven, Michigan. It just so happened that the home of Sherman's Ice Cream was also in South Haven. So there went a generous scoop of Berry Delicious Ice Cream into a Dutch Waffle Cone covered in fresh frozen blueberries and raspberries to summer festivals, including the Downers Grove Heritage Fest. After many requests to bring Sherman's Ice Cream to Illinois, the Urban Family responded by opening Every Day's A Sundae on Main Street in Downers Grove in August 1992. The original location, just south of the Burlington Northern Tracks, was natural because that store had been an ice cream shop for nearly one hundred years. It didn't take long for the word to get out and soon a Friday night ice cream cone became a tradition to many. In a few short years, we quickly outgrew our home and sought a new location - less than one block away! Many were familiar with our location on Main Street, now come and see our updated version in the brand new Station Crossing Complex on Warren Ave, just north of the train station. You won't be disappointed!
